Gorgeous Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos Wedding

This Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos wedding could not be better. Cami and Justin´s wedding day was just perfect in every way

Ceremony took place on the beachfront gazebo and was officiated for the best Minister in town - Minister Marco.  Everyone dined under the stars and after a few tequilas and good music  things got a little wild. I’d call that a pretty perfect day. I love people that know how to have fun and jump to the pool.

Big Congratulations to Cami and Justin. Thanks for having me as your Los Cabos wedding photographer!!

Dreams Los Cabos wedding. Lacey & Jeremy

Dreams Los Cabos wedding. Lacey & Jeremy

This amazing beach wedding took place at the Dreams Los Cabos, located just a few steps away from the sparkling Sea of Cortez just between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.  Lacey and Jeremy had a very beautiful ceremony officiated for the best Minister in Mexico (he was my wedding minister as well). And what a better idea that having grandmas as flower girls, scattering rose petals along the bridal path. At the conclusion of the ceremony in what is probably the best known of all the rituals associated with Jewish weddings it is customary for the groom to break a glass.

Cabo Wedding at The Cape Hotel

The Cape Hotel Wedding at Cabo San Lucas. Jackie and Chris

This gorgeous Cabo wedding took place at The Cape Hotel just one or two miles from The famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas. Jackie and Chris are a wonderful couple, they like to play sports, they are fun, layback and so in love with each other.

Jackie and Chris met in Las Vegas. So it seems, what happens in Vegas, does not always stay in Vegas.  It was Chris’s brother’s bachelor party, and Jackie’s good friend Nicole’s bachelorette party.  They were at the Cosmopolitan pool party, and both saw each other from afar, and luckily their groups meshed well, so they spent the whole day together.  At the time Jackie lived in Los Angeles, and Chris lived in Chicago, so they never really expected to see each other again.  But as fate should have it, a couple months later Jackie had to go to Chicago for work and the rest is history.

I wish you all the best in your new life together Jackie and Chris, you are an amazing couple, thanks for choosing me as your Cabo wedding photographer.

Do you want to hear about their proposal? Chris knew how much Jackie loves the ocean, and so he took her back to Hermosa Beach, where she lived before moving to Chicago, and he proposed to her there in their hotel overlooking the beach and pier before their morning run.  Was very intimate and special, just the two of them.

The Cape is a luxury Thompson Hotel, a singular beachfront retreat where every room and vantage point overlooks El Arco and the Bahia Cabo San Lucas horizon.

The clean, contemporary lines of visionary Mexico City architect Javier Sanchez converge in a relaxed 1960s Southern California-meets-Baja aesthetic at this luxury boutique hotel. The Cape - A Thompson Hotel features 2 outdoor swimming pools, a sauna, spa services, and a fitness center. Dining is available at one of the hotel's 2 restaurants. The Cape - A Thompson Hotel is a smoke-free property.

Whether you envision a modern wedding, a romantic sunset wedding, a modern and structured event with formal elegance or a relaxed boho-chic surf and sea celebration, The Cape in Cabo San Lucas is blessed with an idyllic wedding venue, as well as a passionate team of world-class culinary and event professionals

Cabo Wedding Anniversary Photo Shoot

Cabo Wedding Anniversary Photo Shoot

One-Year Wedding Anniversary Photo Shoot in Cabo, Mexico - These Are a Must See!

This Cabo photo shoot for April and Andrew one year anniversary was so much fun. Since I started corresponding with April over e-mail, I knew their anniversary session was going to be one for the books. After one year together this incredible couple decided to travel to Cabo Mexico for a few days vacation and why not to use again their wedding attire and have fun on the beach, without the pressure of the wedding day.

A few words from April:

I know everyone says as you get older, time only goes by faster. I’ve been hearing that for the last 15+ years, yet every year it doesn’t seize to amaze me how quickly each year goes by. My husband and I were coming up to Cabo to our one year anniversary and I didn’t understand how it had been a year already! As I was reflecting back to our wedding night, remembering how perfect everything went, the only thing I wish I could have had more of was time; more time with family that was visiting, more time to catch up with friends, and definitely more time to dance in my dress! My husband agreed that the night went by too fast, just like we were warned it would.

I absolutely love my dress and like most brides, I have never felt prettier than on our wedding day. It took so much time and energy to find the perfect dress, and just like that, the night was over and it was time for me to put the most beautiful (and expensive) piece of clothing I own away in a box for good. I felt like I didn’t get the chance to fully enjoy myself in it so I thought to myself, well why can’t we recreate some of the night again?

With that in mind, I asked my husband if we could do a wedding remix at our house. After a look of confusion, I explained I would love to have a night where we dress up and dance around in our living room in our wedding attire. To my surprise, he not only agreed, but suggested we do it in Mexico! We already had our trip to Los Cabos booked to celebrate our anniversary so I thought it was a great idea. After telling a few friends that this is what we were planning on doing, some of them suggested to have professional pictures taken. With a little help, my husband’s great idea now turned into a brilliant one. First anniversaries are supposed to be paper themed anyway so I thought this was close enough!

We had about a month before the trip so I started looking around for photographers. After doing some research we decided on going with Gonzalo Verdeja. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect photographer. He was fun, easy to work with, responsive, and did a better job than I could have imagined. His artistry really shines through his photos and I’m so thankful we got to be a part of that. He helped us make this first anniversary truly special, and one to never forget.

Los Cabos wedding. Flora Farms

Stunning wedding at Flora Farms Los Cabos

Los Cabos is a world famous destination wedding area and Flora Farms is one of my favorite wedding venues in the Pacific side of Mexico. Amanda and Ray tied the knot at this charming farm surrounded by trees, colorful and fresh vegetables, and their family’s and friends. It was an epic day. The guys decided to start early  and hike to the top of the mountain that is behind Lover´s Beach (this place is where I proposed my wife 2 years ago, yeahhh). Meanwhile the girls where at the Spa of Pedregal having fun and getting ready for the big day. Ceremony took place inside the barn and was officiated for the best Minister in town - Minister Marco.  Everyone dined under the stars and after a few tequilas and good music  things got a little wild. I’d call that a pretty perfect day.

Thanks Amanda and Ray for choosing me as your Cabo wedding photographer and I wish you all the best in your new live together.

Riu Palace Beach wedding

This gorgeous wedding took place at the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas. Amanda and Graeme´s wedding day was just perfect in every way. Beautiful ceremony on the beach just a few steps from the Sea of Cortez. Officiated for Minister Marco. The wedding day was incredible, packed with emotional moments, so much laughter and amazing people. The entire wedding group was very nice, friendly and fun. They enjoyed the location, the perfect weather, all the little details of attention Amanda and Graeme prepared for them, and they all danced late into the night!

After dinner, fire dancers and speeches, it was time to get the party started. There was no way this was not going to be an awesome party with this amazing group of friends and family.

Humongous congratulations to Amanda and Graeme and their families. Thanks for having me as your Cabo wedding photographer!!

Riu Palace Los Cabos is an upscale all-inclusive resort set on the beach (El Médano beach, on the south of the Baja California peninsula, 3 km from the Marina Cabo San Lucash and 6 km away from the El Arco de Cabo San Lucas rock formation.

Would you like to know how did they meet?

Groom: We met at the concert of a local Vancouver artist on New Years´ Eve after each being

reluctantly dragged out by our friends to the same venue. We met early in the evening when I

was approached by Amanda who introduced herself... safe to say we have been inseparable

ever since.

Would you like to know about the proposal?

Groom: The proposal happened moments before being picked up on our way to the airport

headed to Thailand. I knew I wanted to propose before we left but time got away from us and I

was left with

minutes to surprise her with my question. With time running out I yelled "Mouse" and kneeled

down to pick up the ring where I hid it earlier, Amanda freaked out and ran for the door so I

could throw it outside, I told her to grab me a container to put it in, she ran into the kitchen and

Tupperware spilled from the drawers, when she turned the corner she saw me on a knee and

says

I hate you to (which I replied) Well I love you...Will you Marry Me?

Gorgeous Cabo destination wedding at Pueblo Bonito Resort

Sneak peek of the beautiful destination wedding of Chelsea and Jay at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in Los Cabos. Chelsea and Jay met at a pool party in Las Vegas in 2014. They were engaged in Italy in June 2017 and he popped the question at the overlooking Florence. Perfection!

“We wanted our wedding to be simple and classic. Neither of us are religious, so getting married overlooking the ocean was perfect! The ocean was the main center-piece so we wanted to keep the decorations light. Neither of us are a fan of flowers, so we had candles as the center-pieces with a touch of greens and it was beautiful”!

Thanks Chelsea and Jay for choosing me as your Cabo wedding photographer. Best wishes on this wonderful journey, as you build your new lives together.

Wedding hair tips for Los Cabos Beach Wedding

Los Cabos Beach Weddings

Los Cabos Beach Wedding - Wedding hair tips

I learned really quickly photographing weddings here in Los Cabos Mexico is nearly every evening there is a beautiful breeze that comes off the ocean. This breeze most of the times coming from the Pacific cools down the air and allows you and your guests to enjoy your wedding ceremony. However, if you wear your hair down, it will also blow your hair into your face and ruin your photographs if your hair is not pinned up and/or under control.

Beach Wedding Los Cabos
Los Cabos Best Beach Weddings

This is especially important when you consider how you will stand at your Los Cabos beach wedding ceremony. Nearly all wedding ceremonies here in Los Cabos area have the guests facing you with the sea as the background. The wind nearly always comes from the East. As a result, sometimes, you are standing in the perfect position for the wind to blow your hair into you face for the entire ceremony.

And if you are one of those brides that does not like wearing her hair up because you find your face looks thinner and better when your hair is down, not all is lost. There are a lot of styles you can choose where the hair is back or comes down one side that will still give you the volume you need to obtain that same look. All it means is you have to be creative in choosing a style. And you might want to do a test with your  profesional stylist before coming down, just to make sure you are going to be happy on your wedding day.

If you need some inspiration, please visit my Blog for beach weddings here in Los Cabos, Mexico. Also, you might want to check out a few of my favourite styles in our portfolio section. And one bride that I think really chose the perfect hair for her face, dress and day was Cami of Cami and Justin´s wedding, even after she jumped to the pool her hair was perfect.

Often when I talk about hair, I get asked if it is ok to wear a veil? In my opinion, I love veils and how they flow in the wind. They tend to look great blowing in the wind. However, it is important that you pin your veil into your hair as I have seen a veil fly out of a brides hair and land on a second floor private Villa as she was walking with her bridesmaids.

Los-Cabos-Destination-Wedding-Photographer

I hope you have found this little post helpful and you are a little more prepared for your Los Cabos wedding. Please, remember to talk to your bridesmaids about this as well because it’s equally challenging to have their hair blowing in the wind during the photo session.

A beachfront property located on the Sea of Cortés, the soon-to-be 194-room masterpiece features pure white buildings connected by elevated walkways surrounded by water. All that white is starling and elegant. This architecturally stunning hotel concept by Miguel Angel Aragonés was formerly known as Mar Adentro. I highly recommend the Viceroy Los Cabos for your Mexico destination wedding or your honey moon.

This stunning and unique resort will elevate the already-impressive reputation Los Cabos has as the ultimate destination for sophisticated adventurers,” said Andres & Felipe Chico.

I am a wedding photographer and I like to find new locations for my weddings. When you’re an on-location photographer (you don’t shoot in a studio) you’ll come to find that you save some time if you know the location better. The light changes, plans change so as a wedding photographer you have to be prepared for everything.
So taking the time to shoot during your scouting is going to help you improve your skills as a photographer, nothing is more important than practice. I hope you like the photos and would be great to be your Los Cabos wedding photographer.

HOW THEY MET

“We have known each other since High School, but started dating when we lived in San Diego. Mike was Marine stationed in camp Pendelton, and I was finishing up school at San Diego State University.  When I returned from studying abroad that winter, I asked Mike to come out with me and friends for a birthday celebration, (January 2005) and we started dating since then. We lived in San Diego for a long time and eventually moved to San Francisco where we still live. We dated for about ten years, were engaged for about three and half and now we are married,” says Adriana.
