Why Hire a Make Up Artist in Los Cabos?

Planning a wedding or event in Los Cabos means you’re already aiming for something memorable. But hot weather, ocean breezes, and outdoor lighting can all affect your makeup. That’s why hiring a make up artist in Los Cabos—someone experienced in working with Cabo’s unique climate—is essential.

1. Expertise in Cabo’s Weather Conditions

Local makeup artists understand the challenges of Cabo’s heat and humidity. They work with high-quality, long-lasting products that keep you camera-ready throughout the day.

2. Experience with Destination Weddings

Most Cabo make up artists have years of experience working with international brides, often in luxurious resort settings. They're skilled in timing, coordination with photographers, and calming nerves on one of the most important days of your life.

3. Convenience and Comfort

Many make up artists in Los Cabos offer on-site services, coming directly to your hotel room or villa. No rushing around or transportation stress—just relax and enjoy being pampered.

Los Cabos Weddings: Beauty That Matches the Magic

Los Cabos weddings are known for being elegant, exotic, and unforgettable. From cliffside ceremonies to barefoot beach vows, your bridal look should enhance—not compete with—the scenery.

A great make up artist in Los Cabos will help you achieve a look that complements your dress, the venue, and your personal style. Whether you’re going for soft glam, boho chic, or a bold red lip, your artist will bring your vision to life.

What to Expect When Booking a Cabo Make Up Artist

1. Trial Sessions

Most professionals offer a trial session, especially for brides. This is usually done a few days before the wedding to test different looks, products, and ensure everything is perfect.

2. Custom Beauty Plans

A seasoned Cabo make up artist will discuss your skin type, style preferences, wedding dress, and location to customize your look. Many also offer skincare advice to help you prep in the days leading up to the big event.

3. Additional Services

Many makeup artists in Los Cabos are also trained hairstylists, offering packages that include both services. Others collaborate with local stylists for full glam experiences. Some even offer touch-up services during the event or makeup for the entire bridal party.

Popular Occasions to Hire a Make Up Artist in Los Cabos

While weddings are the most common reason people book makeup services, they’re not the only one.

● Cabo Destination Weddings

There’s no denying that Cabo destination weddings are booming. Whether you're the bride, a bridesmaid, or the mother of the groom, booking a Cabo make up artist ensures that everyone looks polished in photos and feels confident.

● Engagement Shoots & Proposals

Planning a surprise proposal or engagement session in Cabo? Hire a local artist to help you look your best before you pop the question—or say “yes.”

● Special Events and Nights Out

Maybe you’re celebrating a milestone birthday or attending a gala dinner at your resort. Treat yourself to a pro makeup session before heading out.

Tips for Choosing the Right Cabo Make Up Artist

With so many professionals in the area, it can be overwhelming to pick just one. Here’s how to narrow it down:

1. Check Their Portfolio

Look for real-life wedding examples that match your style. Are their brides glowing and natural, or dramatic and bold? Make sure their aesthetic aligns with yours.

2. Read Reviews

Wedding platforms like The Knot, WeddingWire, and Google are great resources. Look for consistent praise in areas like punctuality, professionalism, and results.

3. Ask About Products

If you have sensitive skin or brand preferences, discuss this in advance. Many makeup artists carry high-end brands and can accommodate your needs.

4. Confirm Availability and Pricing

Cabo destination weddings often book vendors far in advance. Make sure your preferred artist is available on your date and request a clear quote that includes travel, trials, and any add-ons.

How Much Does a Make Up Artist in Los Cabos Cost?

Prices vary based on experience, services, and location. On average, you can expect the following:

  • Bridal Makeup (with trial): $250–$450 USD

  • Bridal Party Makeup: $100–$200 USD per person

  • Hair & Makeup Packages: $400–$700 USD

  • Touch-up or On-Site Services: Additional fees may apply

Many Los Cabos weddings include full glam teams as part of a planner’s vendor list, but it’s always a good idea to vet artists independently too.

Many are bilingual and used to working with international clients, so communication is smooth and expectations are clear.

Destination Wedding Planning Tip

If you're flying into Cabo for a wedding, remember:

  • Hydrate and care for your skin days before the event

  • Bring your own foundation or concealer if you have a favorite product

  • Share inspiration photos with your artist ahead of time

  • Consider humidity-proof settings like waterproof mascara and matte primers

Find the Best Cabo Wedding Florists for 2025

Top Cabo Wedding Florists: Blooming Magic for Your Big Day

Planning a wedding in Los Cabos? Imagine the turquoise sea as your backdrop, soft sand under your feet, and vibrant blooms framing every moment. Flowers set the tone—from romantic arches to elegant centerpieces. Whether you're dreaming of a boho-chic ceremony, a luxury affair at a resort, or an intimate beach elopement, choosing the right Cabo wedding florist is key to bringing your vision to life.

In this guide, we’ll introduce you to the top wedding florists in Cabo (without naming actual businesses), highlight the types of floral services they offer, and share some pro tips on how to choose the best floral designer for your special day.

Why Hiring a Local Cabo Wedding Florist Matters

Florals in Cabo aren’t just about pretty arrangements—they need to survive heat, wind, and sometimes even tequila-fueled conga lines. Local florists know which blooms hold up best in the Baja climate, how to source them efficiently, and how to work with your planner and venue seamlessly.

They’re also pros at beach setups, destination wedding logistics, and navigating customs when brides attempt to bring in peonies from abroad (spoiler alert: don’t).

1. The Luxury Floral Artist

Best for: High-end, large-scale weddings with bold design.

These florists create full floral installations: floating flower clouds, custom ceremony arches, and lavish tablescapes that make Pinterest cry tears of joy. If you want a wow-factor and don’t mind splurging, a luxury floral designer in Cabo can transform your venue into a flower-filled dream.

What they offer:

A beautiful beach wedding ceremony features a couple under a floral, rustic archway. The bridal party in peach dresses and guests watch as the couple exchanges vows by the ocean.

Beach wedding San Jose del Cabo

  • Custom floral design proposals with mood boards

  • Imported flowers and exotic blooms

  • Full delivery, setup, and teardown service

  • On-site floral stylists for touch-ups

Pro Tip: Ask to see previous weddings at your venue to gauge their experience with the space.

2. The Minimalist Designer

Best for: Intimate weddings, modern couples, and eco-conscious brides.

Not everyone wants a flower explosion. Minimalist Cabo florists specialize in clean lines, neutral palettes, and strategic pops of color. Think: dried palms, soft roses, and lots of negative space.

What they offer:

  • Bouquets with a modern twist

  • Simple but striking centerpieces

  • Sustainability-focused floral choices

  • Dried floral options for keepsakes

Funny anecdote: One bride insisted on "a single monstera leaf in a tall vase" as her entire centerpiece plan. The florist loved the challenge—and so did the guests.

3. The Boho Beach Lover

Best for: Laid-back, barefoot brides who love pampas grass and earthy tones.

These florists live for desert meets ocean vibes. Think driftwood arches, succulents, macramé accents, and soft pastel blooms that match Cabo’s sunsets. If you’re dreaming of a ceremony with boho soul, this is your vibe.

What they offer:

  • Wild, undone bouquet styles

  • Pampas grass installations

  • Succulent and cactus arrangements

  • Integration with natural Cabo elements like driftwood and coral

Pro Tip: Boho florists often have the best local sourcing for dried materials and unique textures.

4. The All-In-One Floral & Decor Team

An outdoor Cabo wedding ceremony venue at Flora Farms, featuring rows of wooden chairs, lush greenery, and a musician playing cello

Best for: Couples who want florals, rentals, and styling from one vendor.

Time is precious when planning from abroad. Some Cabo wedding florists also offer decor rentals, styling services, lighting, and even furniture. Hiring one vendor to handle both florals and decor can streamline your planning and save you from a million emails.

What they offer:

  • Florals plus tableware, chairs, arches, and more

  • Full design coordination

  • Venue-specific design strategies

  • One cohesive aesthetic

Funny anecdote: One couple let the team surprise them with a design based on a two-word brief: “Desert Disco.” The result? Cactus centerpieces, mirrored planters, and the DJ in a glitter cape. Iconic.

5. The DIY-Friendly Florist

Two individuals are seen decorating a wedding arch with white flowers and greenery and white fabric, set against the beautiful backdrop of the ocean at Cuvier Park.

Best for: Budget-savvy couples or micro weddings.

Yes, you can still have beautiful flowers in Cabo without going over budget. Some florists offer “a la carte” wedding florals or pre-arranged packages for elopements and small weddings. You order, pick up (or get simple delivery), and set up yourself or with your planner.

What they offer:

  • Pre-designed bouquet and boutonniere packages

  • Small ceremony florals

  • Pickup and delivery options

  • Flexible minimums

Pro Tip: Perfect for elopements or pop-up weddings where setup is minimal.

Here are some options for Wedding Florist and Floral Designers in Cabo:

What to Ask Your Cabo Wedding Florist Before Booking

Booking a florist is more than just picking your favorite peony. Ask the right questions:

  • Do you have experience with my venue?

  • What flowers are in season for my wedding month?

  • Can I see a portfolio of past Cabo weddings?

  • Do you offer mockups or sample arrangements?

  • Are there any travel or setup fees?

  • What happens if a flower I want isn’t available?

And of course, make sure your florist is responsive, enthusiastic, and speaks your wedding love language (literal or floral).

Cabo Flower Trends You’ll See Everywhere in 2025

Cabo weddings have their own rhythm, and the trends keep blooming. Here's what's hot this year:

  • Neutral + texture combos: Beige, blush, and tan blooms with dried accents

  • Tropical elegance: Orchids, anthuriums, and large-leaf palms

  • Bold color blocking: Think rich reds, oranges, and magentas

  • Low, lush centerpieces: For easier conversation (and better Insta pics)

  • Sustainable florals: Dried elements, potted plants, and repurposed designs

Seasonal Flower Guide for Cabo Weddings

Not every flower survives the Baja sun. Here’s a quick cheat sheet of blooms that work well in Cabo’s climate:

SeasonGreat Flower OptionsWinter (Dec-Feb)Roses, tulips, anemones, ranunculusSpring (Mar-May)Peonies (limited), delphinium, lisianthusSummer (Jun-Aug)Tropical blooms, orchids, proteaFall (Sep-Nov)Dahlias, marigolds, sunflowers

Always ask your florist what’s in season—you’ll save money and avoid heartbreak.

How Much Do Wedding Florals Cost in Cabo?

Cabo wedding flower budgets can vary wildly. Here’s a rough range to help you plan:

  • Bridal bouquet: $150–$350 USD

  • Bridesmaid bouquets: $60–$120 each

  • Boutonnieres: $15–$40 each

  • Ceremony arch: $400–$2,000+

  • Reception centerpieces: $80–$300+ each

  • Full floral design (for 80–100 guests): $3,000–$12,000+

Ask for a detailed quote and be honest about your budget. Great florists will help you prioritize.

Tips for Choosing the Right Cabo Wedding Florist

  • Stalk their Instagram. Do you love their style? Can you imagine your wedding in their feed?

  • Read reviews, but also listen to your gut. Communication is key—especially from abroad.

  • Book early. The best florists fill up 12–18 months in advance.

  • Be flexible. Some flowers won’t survive Cabo’s heat or may be unavailable. Trust your florist’s substitutions.

  • Reuse where possible. Ceremony flowers can often be moved to the reception.

Final Thoughts

Your wedding flowers are more than just decoration—they’re part of the story you’ll remember forever. The scent of your bouquet, the arch where you said your vows, the petals scattered down the aisle—they’re emotional details that live on in your photos and your heart.

Choosing the right Cabo wedding florist isn’t just about who can make the prettiest arrangements—it’s about who can translate your vision into something unforgettable in the Cabo sun.

***Esperanza Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico***

The breathtaking destination wedding of Laura and Todd unfolded at the magnificent Esperanza in Cabo San Lucas. This luxurious venue, perched on a cliff overlooking the Sea of Cortez, was the dream location Laura had envisioned 12 years ago.

Their wedding week began with a family vacation, allowing their six children and close family members to relish in the beauty of Cabo San Lucas. The venue’s natural splendor meant minimal decor was needed, with the focus being on the couple and the awe-inspiring surroundings. The decor was chic and minimalistic, with lush tropical foliage and candles setting the ambiance. The tables were adorned with white roses, orchids, and tropical leaves, complementing the soft color palette of neutral, tan, and eucalyptus green. Esperanza Resort is an ideal year round destination due to its climate.

The couple’s spiritual connection was evident, with Todd’s Jewish heritage being honored through the breaking of the wine glass and the hora dance at the reception. Entertainment was lively, with a band setting the mood and memorable moments like Laura’s veil being playfully taken by the wind as she descended the steps to the ceremony site. Their beach photoshoot during the cocktail hour captured the essence of their love, with the golden hour lighting and aerial drone shots adding a magical touch. The world class dining experience at Esperanza Resort further enhanced the celebration, offering exquisite dishes crafted by skilled chefs.

Fashion-wise, Laura looked radiant in a Spanish-inspired dress with lace details and a flattering sweetheart neckline, while Todd looked dapper in a linen suit. Their love story, which began on Match.com, culminated in a heartwarming proposal in a rented movie theater, where Todd surprised Laura with a personalized movie and the presence of their close friends and family.

The highlight of the day was their heartfelt vow exchange on the cliff, a moment that surpassed all expectations and was truly magical. Their journey, from the early days of their relationship to this beautiful day, serves as a testament to their enduring love.

A massive congratulations to Laura and Todd! Thank you for allowing me to capture these moments as your Cabo wedding photographer!

WEDDING VENUE, CATERING, CAKE, & ACCOMMODATIONS: Esperanza, Auberge Resort Collection

WEDDING PLANNER: Cecilia

Q1: Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind

your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette?

Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?

We had an intimate destination wedding so that our family and close friends

could share in our celebration longer than just one day. We arrived in Cabo

San Lucas one week prior to our wedding so we could have a family

vacation with our six children and other family members. The venue was so

spectacular that we didn’t need a lot of decor or

embellishments. The focus was on us and the gorgeous surroundings. The

color palette was very soft with shades of neutral, tan and eucalyptus green.

My husband and I are more spiritual than religious, but he is Jewish, so we

added the breaking of the wine glass at the end of the ceremony and danced

the hora at the reception. Our first dance was a magical moment, filled with joy and emotional impact, making our celebration even more special.

Q2: Let's talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space

for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor

DIY?

The venue was so beautiful that we didn't need much decor. We wanted a

chic, minimal tropical vibe. We used lush green tropical foliage as the

backdrop for the ceremony and lots of candles for the tables. We had 48

guests including us so we had two tables of 24 during the dinner reception. It

created a nice intimate family style gathering for our evening. The dinner reception was an intimate dinner, with close family and friends gathered around beautifully decorated tables. The only DYI

items were the gift bags for the guests. Since it was a destination

wedding I had to use the local vendors for the execution of my vision. As an

interior designer it was easy to express my vision, but hard not to be right

there helping with all the details.

Q3: What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use

flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets,

centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important

part in the overall style of your wedding?

We had white roses and orchids with tropical leaves for the bouquets. That

same theme carried onto the table settings and backdrop at the ceremony.

The flowers and greenery added a nice touch to the overall look and feel of

the wedding ambiance, but they weren't the primary focus.

Q4: Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest

entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your

wedding?

We had a live band for our guest entertainment which helped to get the party

started! My favorite highlight was when I was walking down the steps to the

ceremony site, my veil flew off my head. It was priceless! It was a blessing

in disguise because it was super windy, and the veil would have been

wrapped around my face. lol I also loved our beach photography during the

cocktail hour. The lighting was so beautiful and the aerial drone shots were

insane. At the end of the photo shoot, we did some shots near the water. It

was us against the waves! Luckily, we won!

Q5: Let's talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day

look? Describe the looks in detail.

Since we were having an outdoor wedding (in the summer), we both wanted

to be cool. My dress was Spanish inspired with beautiful lace details. The

sweetheart neckline was very flattering on my physique. I wanted to

highlight my arms and shoulders because my husband loves that part of my

body. I wanted a shorter train so it would be easier to dance and run on the

beach. I wore my hair down in an old Hollywood inspired style. My makeup

was natural, yet dramatic around the eyes. I wanted to feel and look

stunning! The groom opted for a linen suit, a crisp white shirt, and dark

camel brown shoes. We wanted our attire to feel chic, stylish without being

overly formal, which is why we opted for no ties.

Q6: How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.

We met almost 10 years ago on Match.com. Yes, one in five marriages

result in marriage according to the website. LOL This was the second time

around for both of us. We have three children each, so yes, you can say we

are the Brady Bunch. The proposal was beyond epic! My husband rented a

movie theater to propose to me. I thought we were going to see a private

show of Dirty Dancing. However, he created a 20-minute legit

movie with more than just photos. The highlights included John Legend, The

Brady Bunch, SNL Justin Timberlake skit, Pretty Woman and so much

more! When we stood up (right before the actual proposal), I turned around

and our close friends, children and parents were there! I was beyond

surprised and touched.

Q7: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your

wedding day?

The most anticipated moment was exchanging our wedding vows on a cliff

overlooking the Sea of Cortez. I had a dream 12 years ago that I was getting

married on a cliff. I search the world to find it and it happened to be at

Esperanza in Cabo San Lucas. That moment exceeded my expectations, and

it was beyond magical.

Q8: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that

you'd like to share with other couples planning their day?

My best advice is… don't sweat the small stuff. Mentally prepare for

something to not go as you planned. Typically, that happens, and you need

to pivot without getting stressed. Whatever it is, it will be perfect in the end.

Try to be present for every minute and notice all the details. Soak it up

because it goes by quickly. Ultimately remember why you are getting

married. It's a sacred and special day for you and your spouse, no one else!
